December 2012 and January 2013

Wow! It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged something. I wanted to write something around the New Year but that didn’t happen. I kept procrastinating... til now. So are you ready to catch up on the world of mmmhustler403... CAUTION: this may be a looong post. :-p
Let's start of the holiday with THE WRAPPING OF THE PRESENTS! After a major clean-up of  my parent's house for my sister's engagement party, there was A LOT of Christmas wrapping paper from previous years that had piled up so some were a little bit outdated but they were still Christmas wrapping paper. So i didn't purchase anymore wrapping paper this year, just reused the ones that we still had.
A little while ago i posted a blog about the MAD HOUSE GINGERBREAD HOUSE that i had made for the Christmas season... my first gingerbread house that i had ever made. Not bad for a first-timer eh. Apparently his mom loved it and wanted to "showcase" it by the front door.
I went up to Edmonton for the weekend of December 22nd... to see TIESTO! One of my all-time favourite dj. He always put on a super amazing show and I had a blast (of course), minus the fact that I caught the 24-hour flu just as we left Calgary. The weather was freezing and snowing. Dan said that we left Calgary for an even colder city, we crazy!

This year, Christmas Eve & Day was pretty simple and laid back. I didn't go out as i normally did the previous years. No drunk-ness for me this year. I opted to stay in and celebrated it with Paul's family, because it was also the first year that they had spent the holiday without his step-dad (who passed early in June 2012). His brother, Dan, had prepared and cooked us a delicious turkey dinner, which the dog also had some.
The Christmas tree at Southcentre Mall. 100x better than Chinook Centre. Just saying.
It’s present time! :-)

Our Gingerbread Madhouse

We finally got around to make this season gingerbread house. I had found a pre-built gingerbread house at Safeway for only $9.99! PRE-BUILT and everything! You just had to decorate it! That’s the point of making a gingerbread house isn’t it, to decorate it. My sister thinks the fun is assembling it. o_O I don’t have the patience to sit around for the walls and roof to dry anymore so how lucky was I went I spotted the pre-built kit. Hahahahaha.
After seeing Jelly Modern Doughnuts' pink gingerbread house, I kinda wanted to do a pink gingerbread house too and not the generic white icing gingerbread house everyone does. So I brought extra icing and add some pink coloring into it, it wasn’t the pink I wanted so I decided to add a teal colored icing too. My gingerbread house defiantly looks like a madhouse when it was finished. Hahahaha.
So do people actually eat their gingerbread houses afterwards? I normally just throw it out. o_O Kinda of a waste eh.
Guess who decorated this side. Hint: it wasn't me. Hahahaha. <3
Also, guess what i had found out today after weeks of me hassling them. Hahahahaha. That's right, i got accepted! School life, here i come! Hahahahahaha. (I think i may be the only person this excited for school again. Hahahahahaha.)

November Goodies From Dollarama

I admit, i love my trips to Dollarama cause their shiet are so cheap. I always find random goodies and never spend over $20... a trip of course. Not bad eh.
There was this DIY project idea i had saw on Pinterest, some time ago, about making date night decisions easier. I couldn't find the Pinterest post but basically it was some popsicle sticks with activities/restaurants written on them, ranging from inexpensive to expensive, and whichever one you pick, you and him will do for date night. Easy peeasy.
Another DIY project had me returning to Dollarama. I was on the hunt for a BIG snowflake (for an upcoming photo session)... somewhere other than Michaels. I went to the 17th Avenue location and found what i was looking for, a good sized foam-type snowflake and 2 bottles of icy blue glitter! I find this location has more items then other locations in Calgary.
The finished snowflake... in the drying process. I can't wait to use it as prop in my upcoming photo session. Super excited!
I also found this cute and sparkly snowman present pillow at Dollarama. Guess what's inside. Hint: you have to be 18+ to purchase this item. :-P Surprisingly they have really nice Christmas decorations and stuff for gift wrapping for a dollar store.

My Favourite Blue Contacts

... finally ripped and i had to threw it out yesterday. Yes i had to take pictures and blog this shiet! Hahahaha. Out of all the blue contact lens i had in the past, these were my absolute favourite because they made my eyes popped and they were so blue! I can’t reordered these because I forgot what the name of the blue was and which Asian site i ordered them on. Oh well. Now that i am contact-less, it’s time to whip out those 4-eyes, 24/7. :-(
